Summer Camp 2022

At Pennsbury Manor, we offer two exciting weeks of summer camp that are sure to intrigue, delight and educate your child. Our programs are designed by education specialists, ensuring that all campers receive the most rewarding and immersive experience for their age group. From Manor House to Kitchen House, and from Kitchen Garden to Stables, campers will explore and learn from the entire site and our talented team of living history experts! We offer two camp options:

Colonial Camp | Ages 6-8 | July 11 – 15

Want to find out what life was like 300 years ago? Colonial camp is a fun-filled week of hands-on history. Children will don their own 17th century clothing and step back to a time when food and medicine came from the garden and the major route into the city was the river.  With a different theme every day, Colonial Campers will make and play 17th century games, learn wool carding and spinning, meet the animals, and cook in the kitchen house. At the end of the week parents and caregivers are invited to return for a camper-led living history tour of the site.

Colonial Camp is for children ages 6-8.  Reservations are required and space is limited. Camp runs from July 11th-15th, from 10 am to 3 pm.  For registration information, email Kerry Scott at c-kerscott@pa.gov. Cost is $235 for Pennsbury Society Members and $265 for non-Members.

Time Travelers Camp | Ages 9-12 | July 18 – 22

How do we know what life was like 300 years ago? Our Time Travelers will experience Pennsbury Manor from several different perspectives; as living history player, junior historian, and budding archaeologist. Time Travelers will try their hands at 17th century woodworking, historical archery, and a mock archeological dig.  At the end of the week parents and caregivers are invited to return for a camper-led living history tour of the site.

Time Travelers is for children ages 9-12.  Reservations are required and space is limited. Camp runs from July 18th-22nd, from 10 am to 3 pm.  For registration information, email Kerry Scott at c-kerscott@pa.gov. Cost is $235 for Pennsbury Society Members and $265 for non-Members.
