Be Our Penn Pal!
William Penn knew our little corner of Pennsylvania was special. Here, he built his home and dreamed of raising his children. He stood on the banks of the Delaware River and contemplated religious tolerance and representative government. He walked through the gardens and marveled at nature’s beauty.
Pennsbury Manor is still a special place—especially for our youngest visitors. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, thousands of students missed their opportunity to visit our historic buildings, gardens, and animals in 2020. And, while the future of on-site field trips remains uncertain, we are committed to fulfilling our mission to educate the public about William Penn, his life, home, contributions, and legacy—but we can’t do it without you.
The Pennsbury Society is asking you to “Be our Penn Pal” and send a donation in support of our virtual education programs for students. Your gift will go directly towards funding: technology upgrades; hands-on home activity kits for students; the launch of a new program focused on the lives of enslaved people at Pennsbury Manor; and virtual field trip sponsorships for Title 1 schools.
