Summer Camps at Pennsbury Manor

July 7 - 11 &
July 21 - 25, 2008
from 10:00 - 3:00 P.M.

Come enjoy old fashion camp fun including hands-on history, arts and crafts, and games. Highlights include the worker’s cottage program, writing with a quill pen, meeting Pennsbury Manor’s animals, candle making, and much more.

At the end of the week, campers will give a tour to their parents. For children who have completed first through sixth grades. Reservations are required and space is limited. Call for additional information 215-946-0400 or download the camp brochure here.

 

SUNDAYS AT PENNSBURY


On Sundays, April through October, interpreters in period clothing recreate aspects of 17th century life at Pennsbury Manor. Come discover the flavor of life on the Pennsylvania frontier. Check our

The recreated country home of William Penn in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, provides a peaceful contrast to the hurry of modern American life. The construction of the original manor was an expression of Penn's belief that life in the country was more wholesome than in the worldly atmosphere of crowded cities. Pennsbury Manor is permeated with the spirit of this kindly, devout humanitarian, and it gives the visitor a sense of the unhurried grace and charm of those years when Pennsylvania was William Penn's "Holy Experiment."

Pennsbury Manor was located with a view to convenient water transportation on the Delaware and consequently is off the major highways. It can be reached by the tourist by a short drive from U.S. 1, U.S. 13, or the Pennsylvania Turnpike by following the routes in the Directions to Pennsbury.

Closed Monday

Tuesday - Friday, 9-5 p.m.
Tours at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

Saturday 9-5 p.m.
Tours at 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

Sunday, 12-5 p.m.
Tours at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.



Tours:
$5.00 - adults;
$4.50 - senior citizens;
$3.00 - youth (6-17)

Children 5 and under are free.

GROUPS BY APPOINTMENT - call ahead for a reservation.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS: Cost varies. Call for information.
