Colonial Crossroads Festival

Saturday, September 8 &
Sunday, September 9, 2007

12:00 - 6:00 p.m.

This two-day celebration features entertainers and interpreters representing twelve different cultures:  English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish, French, German, Dutch, Swedish, Finnish, Native American, African, and Afro-Caribbean. All of these cultures were part of William Penn’s vision of religious and ethnic diversity. This multicultural festival showcases Pennsylvania’s diverse population through folk and traditional performances, interactive demonstrations, and food.

The Colonial Crossroads River Festival is the perfect time to visit Pennsbury Manor. On this weekend, you can enjoy everything Pennsbury has to offer. While at the festival you can: enjoy performances throughout the day, participate in our hands-on activities, observe historic craft demonstrations, learn period gardening techniques, tour the Manor House, and visit the gift shop.

Two separate staging areas will provide on-going entertainment throughout this two-day event. The River Stage, set along the banks of the Delaware River, will showcase traditional music and dance from various cultural groups. The Colonial Corner will provide an array of entertainment for all ages.  Juggling, storytelling, and puppet shows will provide fun for the entire family.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and get ready for a spectacular multicultural experience. Admission for the event is $9.00 for adults, $8.00 for seniors, $5.00 for children, and $25.00 for families (living in same household). For additional information please contact us at 215-946-0400.
